Our Idea
The idea behind Under a Rest grew from one central principle: Loud for the Silent.
Sport as a stage. Community as an amplifier. Humanity as our guiding principle.
Our physically active members - Loud for the Silent-Team — the Loud for the Silent team — run, cycle and swim for
people who are no longer able to do so themselves. — our Silent Members — find understanding, safety and a sense of belonging without pressure or expectations.
Our Supporting Members strengthen the movement behind the scenes.
Together, this becomes something greater than any individual member: a modern, supportive movement for people with ME.

Our Vision & Mission
Our vision: A world in which ME/CFS is visible, recognised and taken seriously internationally. People living with ME/CFS should receive the medical care, research and support they need and be treated with dignity, respect and understanding.
Our mission: We use the power of sport, media and public attention to bring ME/CFS to where it belongs: into public consciousness.
What We Do
Create Awareness: Our sports team participates in major sporting events and makes ME/CFS visible wherever people are watching.
Educate: We explain ME/CFS honestly, scientifically and personally through blog articles, social media, interviews and information materials that provide guidance for both people affected by the disease and those around them.
Connect: We bring together people with ME/CFS, family members, athletes, healthcare professionals and supporters. A community that carries one another — quietly, loudly, together.
Projects & Campaigns: Wir entwickeln Aktionen, Designs, Kooperationen und Events, die Öffentlichkeit schaffen und ME/CFS in die Mitte der Gesellschaft holen.
Fundraising: Any funds not required for our own nonprofit work are donated to the ME/CFS Research Foundation. In doing so, we directly support research that can offer people with ME/CFS hope and a better future. ME/CFS Research Foundation.
